Most Melbourne moves are local moves: Brunswick to Coburg, a Richmond one bedder to a Northcote two bedder, a family leaving Box Hill for Blackburn. We price those by the hour, with a truck and crew sized to the cubic metres you actually have, so nobody pays for a 12 tonne pantech to shift a studio.
The clock starts when the crew arrives at your door and stops when the last carton is in the room you asked for. On top of that there is one depot to depot travel fee, quoted before you book. There is no call out fee, no fuel levy and no weekend surcharge on Saturdays.
Included in every job
Trolleys, blankets and straps
Fridge and stair trolleys, 40 furniture blankets per truck, ratchet straps and shrink wrap for soft furnishings, all included in the hourly rate.
Disassembly and reassembly
Bed frames, flat pack wardrobes that will survive the trip, trampolines and table legs come apart and go back together. Hardware travels in a labelled bag taped to the frame.
Floor and doorway protection
Runners on polished boards and carpet, door jamb guards on tight hallways, corner protection on stairwells and lift cars.
Placement in the right room
Label your cartons by room and the crew puts them there. Beds are remade in the bedroom, not stacked in the garage.

A quick call or the online form. Bedrooms, stairs or lift, truck parking at both ends, and anything heavy such as a piano, safe or fridge over 500 litres.

You get an estimated cubic metre figure, a truck size, a crew size and an hourly rate band in writing, plus the travel fee.

Move day
The crew arrives inside a one hour window, walks the house with you, and confirms what travels and what stays.

Final read of the clock
You sign the job sheet with the finish time on it. Payment by card or bank transfer on the day.

All questions and answersNo. The hourly clock starts at your front door. Travel between our Abbotsford depot and your address is covered by a single 30 minute travel fee that appears on the quote before you book.
We keep going and you pay for the extra time in 15 minute increments. If it is running long we tell you at the halfway point, not at the end.
Yes, between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm, subject to crew availability. There is no surcharge, but Sunday slots book out two to three weeks ahead in December and January.
Empty anything glass, heavy or liquid. Clothes can stay in a chest of drawers if the unit is solid timber. Flat pack drawers travel empty or they twist.
