878 kilometres up the Hume, and the corridor we run most often. Trucks depart our Abbotsford depot on Monday and Thursday mornings, which is the single most useful fact when you are negotiating a settlement date.
A backload puts your goods on a truck that is already heading north with space left, priced by cubic metre. A dedicated truck carries only your consignment and lands on a date you choose. Most two bedroom moves land between those two options within a few hundred dollars once you account for the waiting.

Quarantine on this run
There is no biosecurity checkpoint between Victoria and New South Wales for household goods, but the Greater Sydney fruit fly rules still apply to commercial produce. Hose the soil off garden tools and pot bases anyway, because the same truck may continue to South Australia.

- Most Sydney apartment buildings require a lift booking and a certificate of currency, same as Melbourne. Allow five business days.
- Inner west and eastern suburbs streets are often permit parking. The City of Sydney and Inner West Council both offer temporary works zones.
- Delivery outside the metropolitan area, for example the Central Coast or Wollongong, adds one business day and a regional delivery fee.
