Local moves are charged by the hour. In our sample pricing, two movers and a 4.5 tonne truck are $145 per hour with a two hour minimum, three movers and an 8 tonne truck are $205 per hour with a three hour minimum, and four movers with a 12 tonne truck are $255 per hour with a four hour minimum. A single 30 minute travel fee is added once, not per trip. Interstate moves are priced per cubic metre instead.

Yes, $150 to hold the date. It comes off the final invoice and it is refunded in full if you cancel more than 72 hours before the booking. Inside 72 hours we keep it, because that slot is very hard to refill.

On the day, by card or bank transfer, once the last item is in place and you have signed the job sheet with the finish time on it. Commercial jobs can be invoiced on seven day terms.

No weekend surcharge. Saturday and Sunday are charged at the weekday rate. Public holidays are by arrangement and are quoted individually because crew availability is limited.

Two weeks for a weekday move, three to four weeks for a Saturday, and six weeks for the last weekend of any month or anything in December and January. Those are the busiest slots in Melbourne and they fill first.

You get a one hour arrival window the afternoon before. First jobs of the day start between 7:00 am and 8:00 am and are the most reliable. Afternoon jobs depend on how the morning ran, and we call you if it slips.

Someone over 18 needs to be at both addresses to direct the crew and sign the job sheet. If that cannot be you, nominate someone and tell us their name and number in advance.

As close to the door as the law allows. On clearway roads such as Sydney Road, Church Street or Chapel Street we avoid the 7:00 am to 9:00 am and 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm windows, or we book a temporary parking bay through the council with five business days notice.

We will remove a door from its hinges and refit it, yes. We do not remove windows, balustrades or trim. If an item genuinely will not fit, the options are a balcony hoist quoted separately, or leaving it behind.

We keep moving. Blankets and shrink wrap go on earlier, runners go down on every floor, and mattresses go into bags. Melbourne weather is not a reason to reschedule and we do not charge extra for it.

A truck that has delivered a full load in another city has empty space on the way home. A backload fills it. You pay per cubic metre for the space you use, you accept the truck's departure day and a transit window rather than a fixed date, and you usually save 30 to 45 percent against a dedicated truck.

Our calculator estimates it from your bedroom count, which is accurate to within a few cubic metres for most homes. For a firm interstate quote we do a video walk through, because garages, sheds and outdoor furniture are where estimates go wrong.

Often not. South Australia's fruit fly exclusion zone refuses fresh fruit and fruiting vegetables, Western Australia inspects and commonly refuses potted plants and anything in soil, and Biosecurity Tasmania refuses produce, plants and soil. Give plants to a neighbour and empty the fridge before uplift.

A shared linehaul truck carries more than one consignment, and the order of drops sets the delivery day. We give a range of business days, then call you the afternoon before with a two hour arrival slot. A dedicated truck gets a fixed date instead.

Yes, at either end. Tell us before uplift so the consignment is loaded for a depot delivery, and we quote the module handling fee up front.

Carrier's liability is included and covers loss or damage caused by our negligence. It is limited and it is not insurance. Restricted transit cover, at about 1.5 percent of declared value, adds accident only protection. Full replacement value cover, at about 2.5 to 4 percent, covers accidental damage and loss. All figures are samples for this demo site.

Cartons packed by the owner are marked PBO on the inventory. An insurer cannot verify how the contents were wrapped, so cover is normally limited to loss of the whole carton rather than breakage inside it. Cartons we pack are covered on the same terms as your furniture.

Note it on the job sheet or the inventory at delivery, photograph it, and email us within seven days. We assess, then repair, replace or settle within ten business days of the claim on the terms of the cover you chose.

About one 7 cubic metre module per 7 cubic metres of goods. A two bedroom unit is usually four modules, a three bedroom house six or seven. Modules are $55 each per week in our sample pricing, with a two week minimum and a $95 handling fee each way.

Yes, by appointment on a weekday. A warehouse hand brings the module down and opens it with you present, then reseals it with a new seal number recorded on your inventory.
