Elwood and St Kilda are wall to wall interwar apartment blocks. Three storeys, no lift, a stair turn at every landing and a laundry in the basement. We send three movers to almost every job here, because two people and a flight of deco stairs is how a week gets lost.
Parking is the second issue. Beach side streets are metered or permit only year round, and in summer there is nothing left after nine in the morning. Port Phillip will reserve a bay with notice, which is almost always worth the fee.

Walk up blocks
Three storeys is the norm and lifts are rare. We charge time, not a per flight fee, and we bring a third mover.
Metered and permit parking
Port Phillip issues temporary parking permits. Without one, expect a long carry from Barkly or Ormond Road.
Narrow deco stairwells
Landing turns of 900 mm are common. Queen bed bases often need to be dismantled or hoisted over a balcony.
